Curtis Morgan is the founder and CEO of Equity Builds. With proven results through his success as a licensed general contractor and entrepreneur, Curtis is known to his clients as the perfect contractor because he always looks out for them. The company’s team will create a personalized step-by-step project guide, leveraging the expertise of a general contractor. He only uses the highest quality materials and subs. Curtis is industry royalty and brings his expertise to Equity Builds. He started in the business by working for a GC for nine years. After Curtis helped the GC grow his company by managing projects, doing estimates, taking material take-offs, and coordinating with subs, Curtis decided to start his own company, Equity Builds. Throughout his career, Curtis has completed many residential remodels and worked with various investors, making profits on house flips. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in different cities across Peru from 1998 to 2000. That’s where he learned and perfected his Spanish-speaking skills. He is the youngest of six children, born in Pasadena and raised in South Pasadena. Family is very important to Curtis. He hired his brother (Cory) and sister (Cherie) around 2020 to help grow his business. Curtis is happily married to his wife, and they have five children—three girls and two boys. His hobbies include spending time with family, vacations, pickleball, and relaxing. His favorite pastime is zip-lining with his family.

Cory Morgan joined Curtis Morgan Construction in late 2019. His background is in Project Management, with experience supporting law firms in the Electronic Discovery sector. He specializes in designing complex workflows for all trial preparation stages, from discovery collections to review and production. Skills in meeting strict deadlines and solving problems have carried over into his construction Project Management role. He enjoys collaborating with clients to improve communication and clarify next steps, which sets Curtis Morgan Construction apart. Clients feel well-informed and engaged throughout the process. Despite no marketing efforts and a busy schedule, this reflects the high-quality service Curtis consistently delivers as his standard.

Cherie Moreno joined Curtis Morgan Construction in the final quarter of 2021 as the Business Manager. Her background is in accounting. Over the course of more than 30 years, she has worked within the Southern California School District sector, holding positions such as Payroll Manager, Director of Accounting/Finance, and Business Manager. These roles have enabled her to develop a robust foundation in efficient and ethical bookkeeping practices, as well as a skill set that enhances her effectiveness in client management, project support, and advancing corporate objectives. She has a demonstrated track record in developing and implementing financial strategies, preparing budget forecasts, and optimizing financial performance. She is highly enthusiastic about Curtis Morgan Construction’s emphasis on honesty and integrity in preparing job estimates, along with a strong commitment to the success of client projects, her team, and the organization.
